Why a “Why” is SO important!

Behind every successful person is a solid “why” that pushes, motivates, and drives why 245x300 Why a Why is SO important!each person. For the longest time, I thought I had it all figured out. Like many people, I wanted to be financially secure. I wanted to be able to buy what I wanted, when I wanted. I wanted my child to have the best schooling and I wanted my husband to quit his full time job. Any of these sound familiar?

I wasn’t doing so well in my business. I was going through the motions, doing the things that I thought I was supposed to be doing but I wasn’t seeing the results that I wanted.

I decided to give myself an overhaul. I went back to the basics. In my home business, one of the first things that we teach to new consultants is to come up with a “why.” Why do you want to have a home business?

I have NEVER taken the time to answer the “why” question because I knew that I wanted to be financially secure and that was good enough for me!

Could my “lack of why” be holding me back from the success that I can taste?

I had always heard that a good why was important, did I have a good why? After I thought long and hard about this, I realized that I needed to formulate a stronger desire. What do I desire in my life? And then I wrote it down. All of the details from getting a pedicure every couple of weeks, to buying the home of my dreams on 40 acres of land in the mountains of Idaho.

You see, a “why” is what keeps you going when everything else is not going your way. A “why” is that little voice in the back of your mind that tells you to knock down the brick wall when everyone else says it’s impossible. Without a why, you will not succeed.

“All success begins with a clear picture in your mind of precisely what you want from life.” Napoleon Hill

I came across this video and the contents were SO powerful to me! If you haven’t developed a solid why, and you are struggling to become successful, please take the time to watch this video.

What is so interesting to me about Napoleon Hill is that the concept of conceiving your reality is not new thinking whatsoever. People have been conceiving their success for hundreds, if not thousands of years! This is the EXACT reason why a “why” is SO Important!!

What a great post. It’s so important to have a “Why”. Because without it, you can be on this journey that will feel like it will never end.

That would not be a good idea.

    Hi Cheryl,

I really enjoyed looking over your BLOG page. It is very informative to understand the reason a true Why is so important. I have one written down, but I need to revamp it so that it has more urgency in order to meet that need.
